A young, ambitious looking prince holding daggers
The Prince who Would Be King

Am I a king or still a prince,

have I hit the target, or have I missed?

Opportunities abound, do I stumble,

Am I a king, do I wear the crown?

My time isn't to come, my time is right now,

it all happens here, right here, right now.

The stories I play in my mind,

the feelings that stir inside,

I stick myself inside the hamster wheel,

there I grind, there I abide.

Am I a king? Don't I know the answer?

I can feel is swelling, but it is no cancer,

Am I a king? I look to my actions,

stoic I am, so here I remain,

each moment for me, a moment of fame,

there is no becoming, you aren't, or you are,

I am a king; I am the star.

I own my moments, I am a king,

there is no pretending, I'm being me.

I command it so it is, I am no prince,

I am a king.

What have I done a million times?

What do I know?

What is the thing I'll stand for,

In the ring for, to go toe to toe.

The thing I'd stand on business for,

my inner magnet, my inner force.

Constantly evolving, my desire within,

my essence of expression, who I claim to be,

if I am a king, of what shall I reign,

my masterpiece, who I am,

to shine brightly in this world.

I am a king, I shall hide no more,

my essence from above, what I was sent here for.

Called to be a man and so much more,

Hiding in caves, anxious of crowds,

I will rule, I shall not hide,

I'm no performer, I will not bow,

My presence as king, I will rule my world.

It's time, right now, no more fear.

Let's run, let's live, smile, shine bright,

The present is forever,

I am king, I am light.
